The Okolona Fire District operates four stations, 2 on Preston Highway, 1 on Orchard Avenue and 1 on Rangeland Road. They provide fire protection service to both residential and commercial properties in a 33 square mile radius. Some of the well known commercial properties include the Ford Louisville Assembly Plant, United Parcel Service and General Electric.

The Okolona Fire District is comprised of both full-time and volunteer firefighters.

The Okolona Fire District has an authorized strength of 84 personnel.
