EMT Black and his partner were assisting another ambulance crew who were transporting a patient home from a hospital (Saint Margaret's - North). Due to the size of the patient and difficulty in getting him inside his apartment, the second crew was summoned to assist. While the four EMTs were moving the patient, EMT Black suffered a fatal heart attack. The incident occurred a short distance inside Illinois.
