Incident
Officer Dunn was shot and killed after he and another officer took a man into custody.
A female companion of the man took a revolver from the man's truck and opened fire, fatally wounding Patrolman Dunn.
Patrolman Dunn was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

I was surprised to find this and I am so proud the Jefferson County Police Dept has placed this on here I was the dispatcher with EMS that day this happened and I have never forgot this incident.
