Saint Louis, Missouri Police Officer Gabe Keithley speaking at the first Heroes Banquet on March 3rd, 2006. Officer Keithley was shot and critically wounded on January 30th, 2004. His partner, Officer Nicholas Sloan, was shot and killed in the same incident. Officer Keithley describes the work of The BackStoppers - a Saint Louis organization that served as an inspiration for Supporting Heroes - and what it meant to him and his partner's family. Officer Keithley's father is a member of the Supporting Heroes founding Board of Trustees.
