Incident
While on a traffic stop just after midnight Saturday morning, Sergeant Turner was struck by a police vehicle from Bellafonte Neighbors Police Department while that officer was pursuing a stolen vehicle. The vehicle being pursued struck another Bellafonte Neighbors Police vehicle that was parked behind Sergeant Turner's vehicle as that officer was assisting Sergeant Turner. As the pursuing Bellafonte Neighbors police vehicle swerved to avoid the crash, it struck Sergeant Turner.
Sergeant Turner succumbed to his injuries approximately 18 hours later.
