Deputy Sheriff Doug Sanford

Doug was an amazing man. Great friend, coworker and resource of information. He was an awesome family man and gave everything he had to all he was involved in.

His dedication to his craft, his community and those who knew him, as well as total strangers he encountered and served are unequalled. He is and will be greatly missed.

My brother in arms, my friend...you lived with honor, served your community, your department(s) with integrity and distinction, brought nothing but excellence and dedication to your family and friends.

Your fight was rough, you gave it your all. Your life was cut short, but your memory and the impact you made in the lives of those you touched (personally and professionally) will be long remembered. Rest in eternal peace and brother, those who remain behind will carry on the fight in your place, with you always in our hearts and minds.

My regret is that I was unable to be there to offer you my final salute but may my respects still be known to you and all who have been left behind from your family to coworkers and friends.
