Firefighter Terry "Goat" Cassidy

Along with other members of his department, Firefighter Cassidy responded to a medical call. The patient was found to be in cardiac arrest.

While assisting with patient care, Firefighter Cassidy began to experience symptoms of a heart attack. So a second ambulance was summoned.

Firefighter Cassidy was treated and transported to a nearby hospital where he was admitted. He remained hospitalized until his death two days later.

Although he had only joined the department eight months earlier, he had served with the department many years before -- from the early-1970s until the mid-1980s.
