Incident
Just after leaving other officers to patrol for drunk drivers, Officer Medlock's patrol vehicle was struck at an intersection by a suspected drunk driver traveling at a high rate of speed. The crash occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Kentucky Highway 229.
Officer Medlock was pronounced deceased at the scene.
