Incident
Officer Harris and his partner were involved in the transportation of a high-risk, uncooperative inmate. After completing his shift and arriving home, Officer Harris collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Officer Harris was transported to a local hospital where efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
Officer Harris served with the Northpoint Training Center in Danville, Kentucky, in their Transportation Division for four years. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Junction City Fire Department for 10 years.
