Incident

Deputy Morris was in uniform working an off duty security job when he responded to a report of domestic trouble nearby. The scene was actually an armed robbery in which another deputy -- Deputy Terry Baker -- had just been shot and killed. As Deputy Morris approached the store, he met two armed suspects at the door. A gun battle ensued. Deputy Morris fatally shot one of the suspects before being shot by the other with a round that glanced off his secutiy vehicle and struck him in the throat.
